The Hematopathology division of the Department of Pathology specializes in diagnostic consultations necessary for effective treatment of disorders of blood, bone marrow, and lymphoid organs. Strong expertise in the diagnosis of leukemia and lymphoma in adults and children is available. Evaluation of these disorders coordinates information from specialty laboratories, including the Flow Cytometry, Molecular Diagnostics, Cytogenetics, Hematology, Immunopathology, and Image Analysis laboratories, with standard histologic and cytologic findings. The Hematopathology diagnostic facility is located in the Hematology/Oncology Clinic and near the Morris Bone Marrow unit in order to facilitate clinical consultations and technical interactions.
