Roger McLendon, M.D., the Director of Anatomic Pathology Services and Chief of Neuropathology, investigates the role of molecular expression in brain tumor progression and therapeutic response.

Christine Hulette, M.D. is responsible for extensive diagnostic work performed in collaboration with the Joseph and Kathleen Bryan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, the Udall Parkinson's Disease Research Center of Excellence and the Center for Human Genetics. She is the Director of the Duke Degenerative Disease Brain Bank.

Sandra Bigner, M.D. is actively involved in the investigation of molecular and cytogenetic markers of prognosis in brain tumors.

Gordon K. Klintworth, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Pathology and Joseph A. C. Wadsworth Research Professor of Ophthalmology, has extensive experience in ophthalmic pathology and in the investigation of inherited eye diseases and in angiogenesis of the cornea.

Edward Bossen, M.D., Professor of Pathology, is directly involved in the Duke Neuromuscular Disease Unit and has published extensively in diagnostic Neuromuscular Pathology.

Thomas J. Cummings, M.D., Assistant Professor of Pathology, has an active role in the development of molecular diagnostic tests for tumors of the brain, pituitary, and soft tissues including periperal nerve, paraganglion system, and muscle.
